CORIZA
Coriza is
a Greek word for 'head cold'. It can be a viral or bacterial infection which affects the
nasal passages, throat, tongue, gums and
eyes. It is contagious and is treated with antibiotics.
Nutrition is equally important to strengthen the
immune system.
The illness
is characterised by 'weeping eyes' which are unmistakable. It should be treated straight away because one of
the more serious complications can be a swollen throat which prevents the act of swallowing and can lead
quickly to starvation.

OSCAR ....
...a tiny kitten blinded and sick with Coriza and abandoned by his stray mother.....but
he was found in time and nursed back to health.
He became a
friendly and playful adult cat, and lived for 3 years in good health; although he succumbed suddenly to Coriza
complications, but he was well looked after and enjoyed his short life.
