LUNG INFECTION  

 
Young Bonzo developed a lung infection which caused pus to form in his chest cavity. A drain was inserted by the vet to draw off the pus.

Happily, after 12 days of intensive care, he went home (left, but still very ill) where the owner continued to draw off the pus which was gradually reducing in quantity.

  
Bonzo made a complete recovery.

However, the veterinary costs were high (1,000 euros - 2008) which could have resulted in a decision to terminate his life for economic reasons.....not an uncommon situation with such very high veterinary fees.

Costs as shown here must raise the question of cat health insurance  which might prevent unhappy decisions having to be considered or made.
