 Pet Tracking System.

My cat Sam was old and straying too far so I got him a Cat Locator transmitter collar for piece of mind. Switching on the receiver and hearing the  faintest bleep meant he wasn't far away. No bleep would mean he was too far away, but I could rely on the transmitter/receiver set-up to find him.....every time.

I recommend this system as the collar transmitter is small, lightweight and waterproof. The collar is fitted with a safety catch which pulls apart easily if snagged.

If your cat loses the collar it isn't lost - it's easy to find.

If your cat was trapped inside a neighbour's thick-walled stone garage, locked up for the holiday season, you'd still be able to locate your cat!

CAT LITTER / "ROLL'N CLEAN" LITTER BOX.

You may have heard of Cat's Best OkoPlus clumping cat litter which is made from organic fibres from untreated domestic fir and spruce wood, which accumulates naturally in the environmental cycle. Using this wood helps to maintain healthy forests.

It clumps, is biodegradable - including the sack in which it is packed - smells fresh, can be mixed into your compost (including the cat pee clumps) or flushed into the mains drainage system via the loo. Not sure about cess pits.

I use it with a 'roll'n clean' cat litter box which you can buy via the Internet or order from Aquaflor pet store in Saintes (above). I love both the box and the litter!  Click here for a demonstration of the litter box.

'FRESH & CLEAR' Small Drinking Fountain for cats

I've just bought one of these from J'IDEA, a garden centre next to Leclerc's in PONS, for a discounted price of 18.90 euros. For me it's a relief - no more dirty water bowels, easy to fill, clean and maintain, and the cats have taken to it enthusiastically.
