POISONING This is young Buster, just a kitten, being groomed by an
adult male.
Slug pellets are very dangerous if eaten by
cats and small dogs. A neighbour of mine hadn't read the advice/warnings on the
box and had scattered slug pellets freely around his garden. Buster, and no doubt other cats, had eaten some of these pellets.
Buster was found later wandering about as if
drunk - typical of the effects of slug pellet poisoning when co-ordination of movement is badly
effected.
If slug pellet poisoning is left untreated paralysis and death may be the
eventual, and
rapid, outcome.
Buster was rushed to a 24hr vet at 1.00am
in the morning for treatment and fortunately survived.
Don't leave
it too late!
